The short observation regarding this post is that we need to start rethinking how we as a society and country think about nonprofits.
Dan really changes the status quo train of thought and the emphasis on bean counting over results. All too often we measure overhead or dollars spent on projects as opposed to how effective things are or how much is getting accomplished.
We also need to think about attracting the energy, talent and resources to get quality people to work and stay in the nonprofit sector.
Artist Brent Eviston talks about his take on the creative process in part two of my on-going project on creativity. I am now in the process of thinking less in chapters and more about an overall larger piece.
The is the first part of my on-going creativity project. David Nigel Llloyd, or DNL to his friends, is quite an interesting character and I enjoyed our collaboration together. I am continuing the work and starting to imagine how I might assemble a larger piece from a number of different projects as I explore my understanding of creativity.
